AHRIMAN

Ahriman, also known as Angra Mainyu, is a significant figure in Zoroastrianism. He represents the embodiment of evil and chaos, opposing the supreme deity, Ahura Mazda (Ormuzd), who embodies good and order.

Ahriman's role is central in the dualistic cosmology of Zoroastrianism, where he is considered the antagonist to Ahura Mazda, creating strife and suffering in contrast to the divine harmony and goodness represented by Ahura Mazda. This eternal struggle between Ahriman and Ahura Mazda reflects the broader themes of duality and moral conflict in Zoroastrian thought.
